Crews battling blaze at Aberdeen restaurant

A major fire has broken out at a restaurant in Aberdeen’s Carden Place.
Crews are battling the blaze at Italian restaurant Valentino’s – formerly known as Dizzy’s – after being called at around 2:11am on Monday.
The building also houses Lafevre litigation, Gregor Kelly Senior Partner at the firm said said:

"It looks as though the office is totally destroyed, and we won't be in the office again for some time."

Eight appliances are currently in attendance and the flames have taken hold of the roof of the two-storey premises.
Surrounding roads are closed and police are advising motorists to avoid the area.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 2.11am on Monday, December 23 to reports of a fire with a commercial building in Aberdeen.
“Operations Control has mobilised a total of eight appliances to Carden Place and firefighters are presently working to contain the fire which has taken hold of the roof of the two-storey premises.
“There are no reported casualties.”
