Plans to build a new £10m multi-storey car park at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary are set to be approved today.

Last May, Sir Ian Wood announced that his charity 'The Wood Foundation' would provide the money to put an end to the "stress and anxiety" of patients and their loved ones trying to find spaces.

The NHS Grampian Board will meet today to discuss the plans, and decide whether to approve them or not.

If approved, it will feature five or six storeys and hold around 1,000 parking spaces.
