Fatal early morning collision on A93

A man has died at the scene of a collision on the A93.

The incident involving the 30-year-old happened at Ballater, Braemar Road near Invercauld around 1am.

It's thought his red Seat Ibiza car left the road.

There were no passengers in the vehicle.

The road was closed for 9 hours to allow collision investigation to be carried out.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or saw the motor car in the Deeside area prior to the collision, is asked to contact Police Scotland by telephoning 101.
