"So full of life, full of fun and much loved." Family pays tribute to woman killed near Turriff

The family of a woman killed on farmland in an incident near Turriff on Saturday afternoon say they are "devastated".

Police say there is not believed to be any suspicious circumstances in 21-year-old Caroline Rennie's death, as they continued their investigation.

Her family have issued the following statement through Police Scotland:

“We are devastated by the loss of Caroline who was so full of life, full of fun and much loved. She was a great friend to everyone who knew her and will be much missed.”

The incident happened around 3:45pm on Saturday afternoon, with Caroline pronounced dead at the scene.

Detective Inspector John Lumsden said: “Our thoughts are very much with Caroline’s family at what is a very difficult time for all who knew her and officers are supporting her family.

“There are no suspicious circumstances and, as with all sudden deaths, a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
