Bryan Richards plans to ‘storm’ Loch Ness to ‘find dat big boi’ in September and so far, more than 26,000 people have said they will join him, and nearly 50,000 interested in the event.

The Nessie hunters said they plan to split into two teams to drain the water from the 23-mile long Loch. There is Team Sponge and Team Straw.

Speaking exclusively to MFR News, Organiser Bryan Richards said: 'I've always had a fascination with the Loch Ness Monster, I always thought he was interesting.

'And after the whole Area 51 thing blew up, I thought what if I could get everybody down to Loch Ness and find out Nessie once and for all.

'I just want to find out that Nessie exists. I don't want to capture Nessie, I don't want to hurt Nessie, I want Nessie to be safe.

'There are two different teams going on, Team Straw and Team Sponge.'

'I am serious about this. I want to find out, we can just lay this rumour to rest. We can know if Nessie is there or not.

'There are a good amount of people joking and not taking it seriously around the Area 51 event, but there are also a good amount of people taking it seriously. And I think that will be the same with my event.

'There are a lot of people who are joking and not going to go, but I think the bigger it gets, the more people who are going to go.

'I hope we finally we find 'dat big boi' and there are two different teams going on, Team Straw and Team Sponge, and I hope everyone can pick their side.'
