Northsound News can reveal an Aberdeen man who has spent the past eight months in a detention centre in the Philippines is heading back to Scotland - but he will return home penniless.
Former oil boss Frank Bohlert has been in the country since 2012 after falling for a local woman.
But he was seized by police in September, who accused him of outstaying his visa and cruelty to his girlfriend.
Frank denies that completely, and says his ex has now taken all his assets, leaving him with nothing.
He says the past few months living in a detention centre in Manila has been hell - and he has never been charged with anything.
He had been planning to fight for his freedom, but the 61-year-old has now agreed to be deported next month.
Close friend Gordon Esslemont says he can give Frank somewhere to sleep when he returns, but he will have to register as homeless.
