Elderly woman hit by car

An 81 year old woman's been badly hurt in a road accident in Oldmeldrum.

An 81 year old woman's being treated for serious injuries at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

She was hit by an Audi on Eavern Place in Oldmeldrum at about 20 past eight this morning.

The police have closed the road for an investigation - and they want to speak to anyone who saw what happened.
