Elderly man badly hurt in road accident
A 91-year-old man is being treated in hospital after he was knocked down by a van.
A 91-year-old man is being treated in hospital after he was knocked down by a van.
It happened on an unclassified road between Findon and Cove, near Aberdeen, at about 12.10pm on Thursday.
The elderly pedestrian was seriously injured and was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment. The 37-year-old van driver was not hurt.
Officers are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.
A force spokesman said: The collision happened at around 12.10pm and involved a white Vauxhall Vivaro van and an elderly male pedestrian.
Police Scotland is appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or saw the pedestrian or white Vauxhall Vivaro van on this road at about 12.10pm to contact them on 101.''
