Camilla, The Duchess of Rothesay, has today visited Aberdeen University.

The Duchess, who is also a Chancellor of the University, first opened the brand new state-of-the-art eco-friendly Rocking Horse Nursery - where the children there sang her a nursery rhyme.

Next she visited the University's Fluid Research Labs, where students are trying to discover how to prevent major flooding - like that seen in the North East over the last few weeks.

Then she went to the Sir Duncan Rice Library, where she stopped and spoke to a number of students about their studies. She had a tour of the facilities, and their collection of rare historial manuscripts.

She then met with the city's Guild of Burgesses, in order to present them with their new Armorial Bearings.

The Duchess last visited Aberdeen University in 2014, when she opened the new Aquatics Centre and presented degrees at a graduation in Elphinstone Hall.
