Drugs gang facing jail over £200,000 haul
Anthony Shrimpton was the ring-leader of the operation trafficking cannabis and cocaine up the A90
The war against drugs continues in Aberdeen, with five men convicted over a stash of cannabis and cocaine worth more than £200,000 found in the city and Shire.
£40,000 in cash was also found by police working on the so-called Operation Lashka between 2016 and 17.
Cannabis and Cocaine was found in raids - today at the High Court in Glasgow the gang was found guilty of being involved in bringing illegal substances to the North East.
Detective Inspector Robin Sim, of the Organised Crime and Counter Terrorism Unit, said: "Tackling the illegal supply of drugs is a priority for Police Scotland and we will continue to target individuals who are intent on making money from this illegal trade which only spreads harm and misery in communities.
"Operation Lashka was an intelligence-led operation which led to the recovery of a significant amount of drugs over a period of time which would have been bound for the communities of the North East.
