Multiple drug warrants carried out in Aberdeenshire Town

Police in Aberdeenshire say a "quantity of cannabis" was recovered after multiple drug warrants in Inverurie this weekend.

Officers from the Inverurie Community Policing Team carried out a series of intelligence led drug search warrants across Inverurie, Aberdeenshire on Sunday 18 July 2021.

They conducted four drug search warrants, alongside specialist resources as part of an ongoing initiative to disrupt the supply and use of controlled drugs in the Inverurie area.

A quantity of Cannabis was recovered and enquiries are ongoing.

Sergeant Cat Denham from Garioch CPT said: "This intelligence led operation demonstrates Police Scotland's determination to tackle drug supply and drug use in our local community.

"We continue to rely on the support from the local community and I would appeal to anyone with information about the supply of illegal drugs to contact Police or alternatively contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be provided anonymously."
