Drug trafficker who went on the run from Aberdeen for 10 years jailed
A drug trafficker who went on the run from Aberdeen for over a decade has been jailed today.
Scott Coleman was arrested by detectives in the Granite City in 2003 - after acting as a courier for more than £200,000 worth of heroin.
He was freed on bail by a Sheriff, and then went on the run, avoiding court proceedings.
He was detained in Amsterdam earlier this year after a European Arrest Warrant was issued. He was then extradited from the Netherlands to face justice.
A judge today jailed him for five years.
Coleman is also wanted by Spanish authorities after he was sentenced in his absence to more than six years in prison for a drugs offence there.
