Drivers count the cost as cars targeted in Aberdeenshire vandalism spree
Thousands of pounds of damage has been caused after 10 cars were vandalised in Aberdeenshire.
Officers said the vehicles were targeted in the village of Aberchirder between Boxing Day and Tuesday.
The tyres of the cars were also damaged and police are keen to establish the total number of vehicles affected.
Drivers in the area are asked to check their cars and report any vandalism to police.
A police spokesman said: This type of crime is relatively rare in Aberchirder and we are appealing for information to bring those responsible to justice.
