Driver Dies in 200ft Plunge

A woman's been killed in a terrifying road accident in Aberdeenshire

It happened yesterday afternoon, on the approach to Inverbervie on the picturesque A92.

The driver lost control on a bend, and smashed through the barrier, before tumbling 200 feet down a steep embankment.

The car ended up on its roof in a pool of water.

There was no-one else in the car, and no other vehicle was involved.

The police haven't yet revealed how old the woman was, but they have confirmed she didn't live in the area.
