Doonies Rare Breeds Farm closes after decades of family fun
It's closing to make room for a new Energy Transition Zone
Thousands of people have flocked to Doonies Rare Breeds Farm for their final summer holiday's open.
The 134-acre farm has been a staple for north east families for decades but is making way for a controversial new Energy Transition Zone.
A statement on Facebook reads: "The past 30 years have brought us so much joy and we have made memories which we shall cherish forever.
"Indeed, we have heard from so many of you about the memories you all have of Doonies as generations of families have passed through our gates."
New homes are being found for the livestock.
