Dons sign Tansey

The Dons thought they had signed Tansey late in the 2016 winter transfer window when their offer met a release clause in the player's contract, but Inverness did not agree to the deal and later claimed Tansey had decided to stay.

Now Aberdeen will get the 28-year-old for free on a three-year deal when his Inverness contract expires in the summer.

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes said: "He is a player we have admired for a long time and he will be a very welcome addition to the squad here at Pittodrie."
