Dog sustains serious injury after being attacked by another dog in Aberdeen

The Irish setter was injured after the incident on football pitches in Great Southern Road yesterday.

Police Scotland is appealing for information after a dog was attacked by another dog in Aberdeen on Sunday, 6 June, 2021.

Around 5.30pm, an Irish red setter was attacked by a dark coloured Staffordshire bull terrier in the football pitches in Great Southern Road, Aberdeen. The female owner of the bull terrier is described s between 20 and 30 years of age, with a heavy build, long dark hair and a tattoo of a clock on left arm.

Inspector Gillian Donald is appealing for information and said: "This incident has caused the owners of the red setter great distress. The dog has undergone treatment for a serious neck injury and is currently doing well. I would ask anyone who witnessed this incident or who has any information about the incident or the owner of the bull terrier to contact police. “
