Department for Transport receives interim report into Aberdeenshire train derailment
They plan to publish the findings "Shortly"
The Department for Transport have confirmed they have received an interim report from Network Rail into the train derailment in Aberdeenshire, near Stonehaven, last month - which killed three people.
They plan to publish the findings shortly.
Transport Secretary Grant Shapps ordered the report when he visited the site at Carmont the day after the crash.
DfT spokesperson:
“The Secretary of State immediately requested a full report from Network Rail and visited the site, to ensure all lessons are learned from the tragic incident near Stonehaven. We have received their interim report and will publish this shortly.”
