Police investigating 'unexplained' death of man in Peterhead

Police are investigating the 'unexplained' death of a man in Peterhead on Thursday evening.

Officers were called to a block of flats on Longate in the town centre at around 9pm where a 56-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Enquiries into the man's death are continuing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 9pm on Thursday, 21 March, police were called to flats in Longate, Peterhead.

“A 56-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are continuing.”
