Woman in hospital after two vehicle crash on the A90

A woman has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary following a two vehicle crash on the A90 southbound at Laurencekirk.

The incident happened at about 11.45am, before the road was later closer in both directions.

It has since been reopened.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 11.45 am on Tuesday, 4 October, 2022, police and emergency services were called to a two vehicle road crash on the A90 southbound at Laurencekirk.

"One woman, the driver and only occupant of one of the cars involved has been taken by ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

"The road is now open. "Enquiries are continuing in to the crash."
