Man in hospital with serious injuries after A90 crash
The 62-year-old's car left the road near Balmedie before hitting a wall
A 62-year-old man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash on the A90 near Balmedie tis morning.
It happened just after 8am when the driver was travelling northbound on the Aberdeen to Ellon road.
The white Vauxhall Grandland left the road and hit a wall leaving the driver seriously injured.
Emergency services attended and the driver was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
A section of the carriageway was closed to allow a full investigation to take place.
Road Policing Sergeant Steve Manson said:
"Our enquires into the collision are at an early stage, however, I am looking for anyone who witnessed the collision to get in touch.”
"I am also looking to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time of the collision and has either seen the vehicle or may have inadvertently caught the vehicle on dashcam prior to the collision to get in touch."
