Cove Rangers have been sanctioned for playing suspended Grady McGrath in two cup games.

The striker featured in their 5-0 loss to The Spartans at Balmoral Stadium on July 16 and their 1-1 draw with Forfar Athletic at Station Park on July 20.

He was serving a two-match suspension.

As part of its ruling, a sub-committee of the Board of the SPFL ruled Cove Rangers’ Premier Sports Cup match v Forfar Athletic will be recorded as a 3-0 victory for Forfar Athletic.

A fine of £1,000 has also been imposed, however a payment of £750 has been suspended until 30 June 2025 pending any further breaches.

Cove Rangers have admitted breaking SPFL Rules and Regulations.
