Cove Rangers sack Jim McIntyre after Inverness humiliation
Cove lost 6-1 to Inverness on Monday leaving them eighth in the league
Jim McIntyre has been sacked as Cove Rangers manager after less than seven months in the job.
The Toonsers were hammered 6-1 by Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Monday, a result that leaves them eighth in the Scottish Championship, just four points ahead of the relegation play-offs.
It was only McIntyre's second loss in nine games, with Chairman Keith Moorhouse admitting it was a "tough call to make".
Moorhouse said he believes it was the correct call, ahead of a "hugely important transfer window".
He added: "We would like to take this opportunity to thank Jim for his hard work and wish him all the best for the future."
