Councillors Vote to Close Dyslexia Units

Councillors on Aberdeenshire's Education Committee have decided to close the region's two specialist dyslexia units.

They're currently run at Kellands and Crimond Schools - the pupils will be taught in mainstream classes from September.

The Council says all schools should be "dyslexia friendly" and there'll be specialist software and training for staff.

But there've been concerns from some parents, who say teachers simply won't have the time to help their severely dyslexic kids, while teaching the rest of the class.
