Councillors Face Questioning Over "Pro Union" Letters

Published 11th Feb 2015

Seven of Aberdeen's most prominent councillors are to be quizzed by the Standards Commision today, over a letter urging us to vote no in the independence referendum.

A public hearing is taking place today after complaints that "pro-union" letters were sent out with council tax bills.

Those being questioned include Council Leader Jenny Laing, former leader Barney Crocket and Finance Convenor Willie Young.

Audit Scotland have already looked into the claims, and cleared the administration.
