Just over one year on from the disappearance of Fife airman Corrie McKeague, his mum says she will never give up her search for him.

The 23-year old went missing after a night out in Bury St Edmunds last September, and despite an extensive search by Suffolk Police he has never been found.

Nicola Urquhart met with members of the public in the town on Sunday to retrace his last known steps and uncover more information about what happened.

In recent months officers have focused their search around a landfill site near Cambridge, believing Corrie ended up there after falling asleep in a bin.

The unusual weight of a bin lorry which carried out collections in Bury St Edmunds and the tracked route of Corrie's mobile phone all led to that conclusion but no evidence was found during a 20-week search of the dump.

After initially agreeing with Suffolk Police, Nicola says she no longer believes Corrie's body is in the landfill site.

But she says she cannot rule out any possibility and wants more searches of Bury St Edmunds and the landfill site.

The last year has been a roller coaster for Corrie's family including his girlfriend, who discovering she was pregnant with his baby after his disappearance.

She give birth to their daughter Ellie in June.
