Climber airlifted to hospital after cliff fall

A woman’s been airlifted to hospital after falling from a cliff in Aberdeenshire.

Emergency Services were scrambled to Newtonhill beach around 9.30pm last night (Friday 23rd June), including HM Coastguard crews from Stonehaven and Montrose.

The climber was found with a head and suspected spinal injury and was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment – where her injuries aren’t thought to be life-threatening.

Emergency crews were stood down just after midnight
