Class A drug seizure made in Aberdeen

The 14 year old was taken to hospital in Glasgow with serious injuries

A man has been charged after drugs worth more than £61,000 were found in the Guild Street area of Aberdeen.

He's 35-years-old and is from London.

The recovery of 'crack' cocaine valued at approximately £56,400, and heroin valued at £5,400 was made on Wednesday 14th February 2018

Local CID officers and a drugs detection dog attended.

The man is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today (Thursday 15 February 2018).

Detective Sergeant Bruce Buntain said: "We are fully committed to disrupting the illegal supply of drugs into the North East and we will use all specialist resources available to us in order to do this.

"Yesterday's recovery is a significant amount of drugs successfully removed from circulation that was destined for local communities in the North East."
