Chevron Announces 140 Job Cuts From North Sea Operations

Oil firm Chevron have announced that they will be cutting around 140 jobs from its North Sea operations.

The company is currently conducting a review of its organisation to improve efficiency.

The job losses are from their North Sea operations, with most expected to be lost in Aberdeen, but positions will also be lost in London, Houston, Norway and Denmark.

In a statement the firm said:* *"Chevron is committed to the UK North Sea and the company is focused on safe and reliable operations. We anticipate there could be a reduction of approximately 140 positions covering employees and contractors across Chevron North Sea Ltd office locations, including Aberdeen, London, Houston, Norway and Denmark.”
