CCTV images released in Stonehaven assault investigation
Police want to speak to two people seen nearby at the time
Police have released CCTV images of people they want to trace as part of an investigation into an alleged assault in Aberdeenshire.
It's after an 18-year-old man was seriously injured outside the entrance of Stonehaven Railway Station at around 11:50pm on Saturday 3 December 2016.
Officers are keen to trace a male and female in connection with this incident.
The female is described as being in her late teens to early twenties, tall, of a slim build, with long brown hair.
She was wearing a beige coloured jacket and beige knee high boots.
The male is described as being in his early twenties, of a medium build, with short dark hair. He was wearing a dark blue puffy jacket, blue jeans and grey and black trainers.
Both are believed to be local to the Stonehaven area.
Investigating Officer Constable Graham Crawford said: "This is a serious incident resulting in a male sustaining a severe facial injury. Violent behaviour will not be tolerated and I would urge anyone who recognises the male and female pictured, or has any knowledge of this incident to come forward and contact the Police."
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.
