£30,000 worth of cannabis recovered from Aberdeen home

Cannabis worth more than £30,000 has been recovered after a search of a property in the Torry area of Aberdeen.

Police seized the drugs after searching the house at Morven Court yesterday (Thursday 2nd of September)

A 35-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the recovery.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and he is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court at a later date.

Constable Tom Garrahan from the Torry Community Policing Team led the investigation.

He said: “We are committed to tackling the supply of controlled drugs in Aberdeen and pro-actively targeting those individuals intent on causing harm to our local communities.

"We rely on the support of the public to help us take action and I would urge anyone with concerns or information about drugs to contact Police Scotland at any time on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
