Police have seized more than £250,000 of cannabis while searching a property in Aberdeen.

Officers went to a property in the Langstane Place area of the city with a drug search warrant on Tuesday.

Two men aged 24 and 35 have been arrested in connection with the discovery, police said.

They are expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

Detective Inspector Fionnuala McPhail said: “A significant quantity of controlled drugs has thankfully been seized before it reached our communities.

“I would like to thank the public who provided information which allowed us to target our resources to the right place at the right time."
