Four men have been arrested and charged after a cannabis farm worth around £200,000 was recovered in Aberdeenshire.

Following reports, police officers carried out a search at a property in Tradlin Circle in Blackburn on 11 February.

When officers raided the property, an "extensive" cannabis cultivation containing around 278 plants was discovered inside.

The men, aged 27, 30, 34 and 42, are due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Wednesday 12 February.

Sergeant Mark Adam said: "I would like to pass on my thanks to the community as this enforcement action was only possible due to information provided by members of the public.

"Serious and organised crime remains a priority, and we are committed to detecting and disrupting criminal activity. We rely on the public to provide us with information to help us to do so.’’
