Canine Crew returns to Aberdeen International Airport
The Therapets are back at the terminal for the first time in two years
The Canine Crew from Aberdeen International Airport are returning to work for the first time in two years.
In partnership with Canine Concern Scotland Trust, it's hoped that the Therapets will ease the anxiety of nervous flight passengers.
After a trial period in 2018, the dogs were brought in as a permanent feature of the airport a year later, before staying at home during Covid.
Duty Manager at the airport, Fraser Bain, says they were a "hit" before lockdown.
"We are delighted they are able to return and build on the fantastic job that was already started before the pandemic.
"Our Canine Crew has been a hit with passengers and staff ever since our four-legged friends came to the airport."
Diane Wood, lead representative and Trustee from Canine Concern Scotland Trust, said: “Our crew are delighted to be back in the terminal meeting passengers.
"Hopefully we'll be back here twice-a-week going forward, with two volunteers and two dogs in the terminal with the passengers, staff and the crew so it'll be fabulous."
