The straight ahead lane from Trinity Quay to Guild Street is being removed today (Monday 19th December) to make room for a new bus priority lane.

It means that motorists will only be able to turn left onto the A956 / Market Street.

It's hoped that the bus priority route will minimise on Bridge Street, Guild Street and Market Street.

Access to properties, businesses, and the Trinity Centre car park will be maintained and motorists will be able to access the area via the Denburn and South College Street when the bus priority route is in use.

Three more bus gates are being created as part of the works, on the top of Market Street, the east side of Guild Street, and the top of Bridge Street, and the bus gate on the east side of Union Street is being moved to the front of the Adelphi.

Schoolhill is also set to be pedestrianised from Back Wynd to Flourmill Lane, with access for service vehicles only.

There will also be a ban on vehicles turning right from Union Terrace to Rosemount Viaduct, with only buses, taxis and cycles allowed.
