Body found in search for missing Aberdeenshire Woman

The body was recovered from the River Dee near Kincardine O'Neil in Aberdeenshire during the morning of Monday, 23 November - no formal identification has taken place, but the next of kin of Ann Pearson has been informed.

Police Scotland say they've found a body in the search for a missing Aberdeenshire Woman.

They had put out an appeal earlier in the day to help find 65-year-old Ann Pearson from Kincardine O'Neil who hadn't been seen since Sunday afternoon.

Police Scotland said:

"We can can confirm that the body of a woman has been found during searches for Ann Pearson.

The body was recovered from the River Dee near Kincardine O'Neil in Aberdeenshire during the morning of Monday, 23 November.

The body has not yet been formally identified but Ann Pearson's next of kin has been made aware.

There are no apparent suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course."
