Biker killed on busy Aberdeen road named by Police

The man killed in a motorbike crash in Aberdeen at the weekend has been named by the police.

He was 27 year old Damien Piotrowsky.

The accident happened shortly before 12:00pm on Great Northern Road.

A black Yamaha motorcycle, a black Vauxhall Adam and a silver Volkswagen Caravelle were involved.

Enquiries into the collision are continuing and police are appealing for further witnesses to come forward.

Sergeant Malcolm Kinross from the Divisional Road Policing Unit said: "Our thoughts at this difficult time are with the family and friends of Damian Piotrowski.

"We continue to investigate the circumstances of this collision and we are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward.

"In particular, we are keen to speak to passing motorists in a white Vauxhall Insignia and a dark coloured Nissan Qashqai who may have witnessed the collision.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous."
