A baby seal's recovering after being found in Stonehaven town centre this morning.

The mammal - believed to be a boy - had managed to make his way from the town's beach to the High Street. He'd earlier been ushered back into the water and is thought to have been in search of food.

Local vets were assisted by British Divers Marine Life Rescue in the operation and the pup was rehydrated before being handed over to the SSPCA.
