A BA flight bound for Aberdeen has been diverted because of an emergency.

BA flight 1306 set off from Heathrow around 9.05am but had to land in Manchester because of a "suspected tech issue".

BA says its sorry for the disruption and that teams are working to get passengers to their destination.

Flight data shows the plane making a turn towards Manchester Airport

A BA spokesperson said: “Our aircraft was diverted as a precaution because of a suspected technical issue.

“We’re sorry to our customers for the disruption to their journeys and our teams are working to get them on their way again as quickly as possible.”
