Armed robbery in Cove

Customers and staff were threatened with a knife

Police Scotland are looking for witnesses after an armed robbery at the RS McColl on Loirston Road in Cove, Aberdeen.

It happened at about 9:20pm on Wednesday night.

A white man 6'1 in height, average build, wearing a grey jacket with a hood, blue jeans and white trainers entered the store, threatened customers and staff with a "bladed weapon" and made off with a four figure sum of cash.

A grey motor car was seen drove from Cove Road on to Loirston Road and then on to Colsea Road around the time of the incident.

The occupants of this vehicle may have seen the male as described and the police are urging them to come forward.
