Police have urged members of the public to come forward with information after community-funded defibrillators have been stolen and vandalised in Oldmeldrum, Newtonhill and Udny Green.
Police have urged members of the public to come forward with information after community-funded defibrillators have been stolen and vandalised in Oldmeldrum, Newtonhill and Udny Green.
The two defibrillators were targeted in Newtonhill between September 26th 2016 and October 10th, 2016.
They were located adjacent to the ATM at the Tesco store, Newtonhill Road, and the other being close to the pharmacy at Old Mill Road.
A defibrillator was also stolen from Udny Green on 13th September.
The Oldmeldrum equipment was stolen from The Square, Oldmeldrum, between the morning of Wednesday 6 July and the afternoon of Thursday 7th July 2016.
Inspector Colin Taylor said: "This mindless act has compromised the safety of the community and could lead to loss of life.
"It is beyond belief that some would take this community-funded equipment and I am urging anyone with information to contact the police urgently on 101.
"We have carried out extensive enquiries and are continuing to investigate this senseless crime and that is why we are urging the public to come forward with any information."
