Detectives in Aberdeen are appealing for information after two males, both of which are believed to be of school pupil age, attempted to rob an 11-year-old girl.

The incident took place at around 7.30pm on a footpath between Ashwood Grange and Jesmond Grange in Bridge of Don.

Both males were unable to steal from her, before running off in the direction of Ashwood Grange.

One of the males is described as being around 5ft 5in tall and had a local accent.

He was also dressed in all black clothing, including a North Face beanie hat and Nike Airmax trainers.

The second male is described as being slightly smaller in stature and also wearing all black.

Detective Constable Grant Hardie said: “The girl involved was physically uninjured but was left extremely shaken by this incident.

“Our enquiries are ongoing and I would urge anyone who may have seen or heard any disturbance in the area or who believes they may be able to identify the two males involved to come forward.

“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting incident 3411 of 23 March, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
