There’s been a number of break ins to domestic sheds and garages this week in Bucksburn.

Sometime between 10.30pm on Monday 8 October 2018 and 7.30am on Tuesday 9 October 2018, numerous sheds and garages in the area were broken into.

Nothing was stolen from the majority of the break ins however a push bike was stolen from one property, a motorbike was damaged which was parked outside Mugiemoss Court, and a Vespa motorised scooter was damaged which was within a garage in Bankhead Road.

Detective Constable Michael Christiansen who is investigating the incidents said: “During the course of yesterday we received reports of a number of sheds and garages being broken into in the Bucksburn area over Monday night and into Tuesday morning.

“Although nothing was taken from the majority of the incidents, the experience will have frustrated and unsettled the shed and garage owners, especially as most will have to pay for repairs or replacement security padlocks etc.

“If anyone recalls seeing or hearing anything in the areas of Hillocks Way, Greenburn Drive or Bankhead Avenue on Monday night/Tuesday morning I would ask that they contact us with any information they may have, no matter how small and insignificant it may seem.

“I would also remind all shed and garage owners to ensure they keep them locked overnight, install security lighting if possible, and ensure that valuable items stored within sheds and garages, such as bicycles or motorbikes, are further secured to fixed points to prevent them being taken.

“Anyone with information about these incidents should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 0515 of 9 October.”
