Equalities Secretary Angela Constance is joining forces with actress Juliet Stevenson and supermodel Lily Cole at a special event aimed at empowering girls.
Ms Constance will be one of 250 successful females taking part in a speed mentoring event on the London Eye being staged to mark the UN International Day of the Girl.
Others taking part in the event include Olympic champion rower Heather Stanning, TV presenter Anita Rani, businesswoman Mary Portas and comedienne Jo Brand.
International Day of the Girl celebrates the achievements and potential of girls, but also acknowledges the challenges faced by millions of young women across the world.
Speaking ahead of the event, Ms Constance said: "The UN International Day of the Girl is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate equality and the tremendous achievements of girls around the world.
"I'm looking forward to joining mentors on the London Eye to speak to girls and hear from them about their dreams and ambitions.
"Sometimes it's difficult to understand how you can actually follow the path you want to take in life, so I'm hopeful the range of mentors from across different industries and backgrounds will be able to offer advice and show that there should be no barriers to following your dreams."
