Aker Solutions To Cut Up To 70 Jobs In Aberdeen
Oil firm Aker Solutions has confirmed that it is to cut up to 70 jobs in Aberdeen.
The company say the positions will be cut from their base in Dyce - and employees there are to be informed today.
A spokesperson said: "As previously announced in September, Aker Solutions is reducing its workforce capacity outside of Norway, primarily in the subsea area, because of a continued market slowdown.
As many as 70 of these positions are expected to be in our subsea business in the UK.
As part of this process we have today entered into a 30-day redundancy consultation with UK employee representatives, which we are informing employees about in meetings today."
