WATCH: Aberdeen Women lift the SWPL 2 title
Get all the reaction as AFC Women make it 2 titles and 2 promotions, with just 2 league defeats, in 2 seasons - but they are heading for the SWPL 1.
Aberdeen FC Women won the SWPL 2 title a week ago, but it was on Sunday afternoon the team finally got their hands on the trophy.
They came from behind twice, with a brace from Francesca Ogilvie, and goals from Bayley Hutchison and Eilidh Shore to beat Boroughmuir Thistle 4-2 on the final day of the season.
When Co-Manager Emma Hunter arrived, back at the beginning of 2019, then paired with Harley Hamdani, she targeted the reverse of what the squad had just experienced.
The team, previously known as Aberdeen Ladies, had been relegated twice in a row - Hunter wanted to see them promoted consecutively, returning the team to the SWPL 1.
An unbeaten campaign in the SWF North, followed by this season in the second tier - interrupted twice by Covid - this is a team that have only tasted defeat in the league twice in two campaigns.
They've done it whilst scoring bucket loads, Hutchison finished the top goalscorer this season with 21, but winger Ogilvie wasn't far behind with 17, and they both chipped in with plenty of assists.
The team spirit in this squad is highlighted by the fact that in the celebrations they produced two cardboard cutouts, one of Anna Blanchard and the other of Jenna Penman, the two players missing out on the fun as they isolate at home.

Co-Manager Emma Hunter spoke with our Reporter Lewis Michie:
The gaffer also told us she believes all of her players have earned the right to play in the SWPL 1, and whilst she might have to convince one or two to prolong their careers, she is confident.
She may look to add some experience to the squad in the off-season, if possible.
Captain Kelly Forrest described her pride in her teammates, who have overcome many challenges to find themselves back in Scotland's top division.
