A sleepout is taking place in Aberdeen tonight - as people get to experience the reality of rough sleeping.

The Cyrenians are running the fundraiser, and are telling us that demand is up with a thousand extra emergency parcels handed out last year.

Tonight’s event marks 50 years of the Granite City charity.

Around fifty people have already signed up to sleep in the cold tonight at the Bridge of Dee Asda.
