ALL Aberdeenshire schools to be closed Monday and Tuesday

Work is still ongoing in the recovery from carnage caused by Storm Arwen

Aberdeenshire Council have taken the decision to close ALL of it's schools tomorrow (Monday November 29) and Tuesday.

It's as work continues to restore power and telephone service to people across the region.

Many has been left without power as a result of Storm Arwen on Friday night.

NHS Grampian has also taken the decision to close all of it's Aberdeenshire based vaccine centres tomorrow.

Earlier today Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks said it could take "several days" for power to be restored to all households.

Just under 40,000 homes which were plunged into darkness because of the storm remain without electricity.

Around 75,000 across the North of Scotland were without power on Saturday morning.
