A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service Dog from Aberdeenshire has whipped up a storm online after being pictured helping rescue survivors from the rubble in Nepal.

Diesel is five years old and lives in Torphins in Aberdeenshire.

He is a specially trained sniffer dog, and is an expert in tracing survivors in extreme situations.

He has gone out alongside 6 firefighters from the Aberdeen team to help save survivors trapped in the rubble since last Saturday's deadly 7.8 magnitude earthquake.

So far 6,134 fatalities had been confirmed, with 13,906 injured.
