Aberdeenshire Council confirm new leader
Jim Gifford has officially stood down from the role to be replaced by Councillor Andy Kille
Councillor Andy Killie is officially the new leader of Aberdeenshire Council.
Previous leader Jim Gifford has now stood down - an intention he announced earlier this year - Councillor Gifford remains a Councillor however, and also keeps his chair of business services committee.
Cllr Kille described the role as a "great honour and huge responsibility"
The change takes effect immediately
